So I just installed the evga 680i board. It works great. I'm running 2 identical Seagate 320GB drives in a RAID0. Every few mins I get the following error and the drives time out for about 5 seconds, the RAID always shows healthy:

Access failure: critical error on disk ST3320620AS (port sata 2.0)

I also recieve the same error on port 3.1 (the other drive). That leads me to believe that it isn't related to a faling drive and more lilkely a driver or config error. These are 2 new never used drives and a fresh install of XP. There are no other HDD's in the system. The only thing I have not tried is disabling all the other RAID ports in the BIOS (which I will try later).

Has anyone else seen this or have any ideas? Not a lot of info out there on the 680i boards yet and I can't find anythihg on the Evga site.

Thanks all!

Thanks for the reply.

I found that too. Good reading but it looks like it comes down to a BIOS update is required.

People don't buy this board until bios P22 (or higher) comes out. The SATA ports are messed up with or without RAID.

That is my professional opinion :)
