I've only built 2 machines (one for me, one for someone else), both desktops. The person I made a system for asked me about a laptop. How hard is it to build a laptop? Should I attempt it?

Thanks!

eh, everything is small, and the parts are harder to get, other then that it shouldnt be that hard. might have to get a barebones system then work from there.

I don't know anything about notebooks, but I think I'll tell this person to just buy one. It seems cheaper to buy a decent one from Newegg than buy the components from ABS. Of course I didn't compare specs, nor do I know much about notebook specs except the CPU speed. Do barebooks have a mainboard in them already?

Yes, there is a motherboard in them.
I also think that the time to build your own laptop has not come yet.
We have to wait until it gets more popular, so parts are more widely available.
