Random Floppy Drive Posting, But I Don't Own One

I don't have a floppy drive installed in my system, nor do I even own one, but Windows detects one and it shows up in my "Devices with Removable Storage" menu in My Computer. I've uninstalled the driver, uninstalled the device, but windows just auto-detects it again. WTF mate?

i7 920 w/ Monsoon III
6G DDR3 1600 OZZ Gold RAM
120G OCZ Vertex SSD
Windows 7 build 7077 64-bit.

sometimes the obvious things are overlooked. why it does it in the first place is the weird bit.
