Please help with system build!

Right now I have a Radeon X1900XTX 512MB PCI Express x16 card. I would like to get a Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 2.4GHz LGA 775 Conroe 2.4GHz 4M sharing L2 Cache Processor.

The issue is I never owned anything from intel, have no clue on set up or much of anything else on this. The main questions I have are.

1. (stupid one) will my Radeon X1900XTX card work in any MB with an Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 in it? Also if the MB has 2 PCI Express x16 slots can I use just one, or do both have to be used.
2. What kind of board should I get? Not a ton of money to spend (looking to spend apx $100-$160 on MB alone), I need something like this.
-Must have at least 1 PCI Express x16 slot
-Support the Core 2 Duo E6600 2.4GHz LGA 775
-NO OB video ( Hate OB video)
-Support DDR2 667/533 (to save money if possible get ddr 400)
-Maximum Memory supported must be at least 4GB
3.What kind of memory should I get (still need to save some money)

I know this is long and drawn out, but any help would be appreciated!

The Radeon X1900XTX will work in any motherboard that supports C2D.

the Gigabyte S3 and DS3 based on the P965 chipset are pretty good. The DS3 is the S3 with solid capacitors for a longer life. Both have one PCI-Express 16x slot. This is the motherboard i plan on getting for my new systm in the next week.

The motherboard also supports DDR2 800 but this ram is so expensive at the moment. If you are trying to save money i would go with ram from a reasonable brand, Corsair, OCZ, Kingston, and so on. And go with the 533MHz stuff (DDR2 4200) so that it runs a 1:1 ratio with the fsb, thus creating less latency from the mismatch of clocks like DDR2 667 (DDR2 5300), or DDR2 800 (DDR2 6400) would.
