why is my screen doing that?

Hello all,
I'm having trouble playing games on my 27"ws ViewSonic lcd/tv. Its connected to my computer via dvi input. When I try to play a game or run 3Dmark2K5 it starts out fine but then the right side of the display gets smushed in and distorted. Its like its trying to put the right side 6"s of video in a 1" space. I hope that description works LOL. It is only in video games that I have any problems with the screen. My desktop runs in 1280 x 720 and it looks great. The system works fine with the old 19" monitor.

I would double check your vga specs.You might need to buy a second card and run sli,or upgrade to a 7900gt.Goodluck.

Hmmm... if the game starts out fine, I'd say there's an issue with the LCD.

Return it.

That seems like a low resolution for a 27" screen, LCDTV or not. My 30" LCDTV has a resolution of somwhere around twice that, I think.
