thumb drive not recognized

i was copying some file to my external hard disk when a power outage
occur.

Now, Windows was unable to reconignized the external hardd disk...
But the ext HDD is recognized by other computer....

I have tried to reinstall the usb driver but the problem still persist....
Plz advice....

Does the BIOS recognise the external HDD?

Go to Start->Settings->Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Disk Management with the drive in the computer and see if there is a drive letter associated with the thumb drive. If not, assign a drive letter.

Uh.. hard disk or thumb drive... there is a difference between an external enclosure housing a hard drive and a USB flash drive...
