Why cannot I see the Best Answer Button?

Ok no matter how hard I try I cannot for the life of me find the Best Answer Button! I had it once sometime ago and have not seen it since. I note that I am not the only one having this problem. I hope that I am in the right area to ask this question. Help please.

Hmmm now I can see it! It must be because the only person who can see it is the person who started the thread. Obvious really. (Somewhat embarrassed).

Correct. It's also only available on 'question' type threads. If it's opened as a 'discussion' type thread, there is no best answer option.
