hi there, I got my hands on a Dlink DI-604. I use bit torrents to download. Is this router good with bit torrents. I ask this because I also have a Linksys WRT54G and it has problems with bit torrent. thanks.
by the way, I have cable connection at about 6Mbps with Rogers. My upload is 800kbps i think.
Any router should work fine with bit torrent as long as you have it set up properly. You need to have the recommended ports forwarded to a PC with a static IP address.
oh i know all that and i have it setup that way. its just that the linksys router keeps dropping the connection when using bit torrents. this is a known issue with many linksys routers.

High bt traffic is sure to toast about any home router, it is just a matter of time I've had much better luck with linksys routers than netgear or d-link but that is just me. I ended up putting together a tiny VIA Epia PC running linux to be my router, there is no way bt can cook that
