I got a friend who wants to spend 2000Canadian dolalers on a new gaming rig. There is nothng I know that he needs but I would like to suggest a minium of 2gbs of memory, an 8800GTS preferbly, and a 6600 C2D. How does that sound, I don't want to get the 8800GTX, its not worth the price jump. Don't worry about the monitor or other crap. Just do what you guys do best. Please keep the amd vs intel and nivida vs ati to a minium. Thanks in advance.

I have to add my agreement too; it's pretty much exactly what I'd pick having to redo my build today. If there is money left in the budget, make that 2 or 4 of those HD's for RAID.
