First question, does anyone know the difference between the White
Logitech Quickcam Zoom webcam and the Silver/chrome one that replaced it
is supposed to be? I have both of them (several of each), and the
picture quality of the older (now discontinued) white one is DRASTICALLY
better (which came as kind of a shock to me). The difference is not
small or subtle, it was substantial. The silver model has a very noisy
& "grainy" picture.
Second comment, for anyone who is interested, there are drivers floating
around on the web for the very old Quickcam VC USB under XP. This is an
old CIF (352x288 resolution) camera from about 1998, and it's not
supposed to work under XP at all, but drivers for it that work do exist.
So you don't have to throw them out, if you have one.
