Hello,

Ive recently got my hands on a 24dbi mesh dish, Now i want to use this but im pretty new to big scale wireless :).

I currently have a DLINK-DSL-G604T wireless router, i can de-tatch the annenta and connect the dish with a pigtail.

Now do i need a massive amp or something because the router omits very little power? or is it all in the dbi?.

Cheers
Oliver

its all in the antenna. But use the shortest coax you can <9' preferably. Or a line amp may be needed.

You will need it on both ends if you are planning on going long distance.

Hello,

Thanks for replying :)

I think the router omits 100mw, so i guess im gonna go about 2-4miles if it was clear line of sight ?

Also shortest coax from where now?

Cable from dish to router?

Cheers
Oliver
