Hey guys I'm trying to find a good RAM for my new system, whats the difference between the Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400 and the TWIN2X2048-6400C4

The only difference I see with the C4 is that it has an EPP. ?

I believe it is also certified to run at Cas 4 timing where the other ram is rated at Cas5.

Tighter timing give you a little more performance and more overclocking headroom

Are you from the US?
Do you have any other choice besides Corsair?
Do you plan to OC? If so how far with what CPU/motherboard, full specs?

Well to reach 3ghz, all you need is DDRII-667.
I think either kit will do because if you run it with DDRII-667, chances are you can bring down the Timming to Cl4 even Cl3.

I am not positive but I beleive these sticks are almost identical and should perform about the same with the CPU at 3ghz. But 26$ is not a lot of money to get higher binned parts.

So you won't likely get a lot more performance for your 26$ but probably more potential which might come in handy at some point.

Anyway is there any other memory available?

I would suggest Curcial Ballistix 667C3 I think it would be better suited for you needs.

I am very disappointed after seeing what the anniversary modules did and how those ones are performing...

@theOP
800CL4 wil be good for 500Mhz CL5 while 800CL5 will only reach ~410Mhz.
