So far the results for the review are looking pretty consistant, and looks like timings are beating mhz on super pi (I got better results with cas4 @ 500 than baseline standards [5-5-5-15] @ 580 8O , imagine the stock timings). Now I just need to do the everest testing, and I guess some fps (though my 6600gt will make the fps seem like sh$t)
you have to teach me how to use that graph maker, because I tired it myself, and it looked all weird
I think what I will end up doing is flipping the voltage and mhz axes and making the minimum mhz 800 to make things easier to read, but the one you have made right now is fine
I was looking some of the conroe reviews @ newegg, and some of the people there are complete idiots, like for the x6800
I paid more than 100.00 more when i bought it. if you get a good stepping, you might be able to hit 4MHz
I think I have already achieved that with am2, that guy paid a bit too much for 3mhz
and here's some for the presler extreme
Definitely not upgrading to Core 2 any time soon!
who owuld buy this when the conroes have already been released?
Remember, this is not a pentium4 processor, its a pentium extreme edition 965 presler.
that's funny, people actually think its defferent from the pentium 4 northwoods ( or whatever the 65nm was)
The fastest processor currently on the market. You can't trust random benchmarks from the tech websites since they don't measure real world performance. That's all that matters. I got tricked into getting the Core 2 X6800 by what everyone else was saying and when using both my PCs side-by-side, this one is defintely faster even though it has less RAM.
that person is just plain stupid
I don't know how anybody can ignore this, but this processor is clocked at 3.73 GHz whereas the Core 2s aren't even clocked at 3ghz. OBVIOUSLY this is gonna be faster! Intel is making big mistake by thinking people won't notice that the new processors are so much slower. I mean, some of those new ones are only 2Ghz! I am extremely happy with my purchase of this.
ha! I almost cried
this is great, you really should see how stupid some of the reviewers @ newegg are
If you can afford the mushkin 4-4-3-10 series, than you probably have some of the best ram in the US, a site hit cas3 @ 500mhz, which is pretty insane (though it took 3.71 volts) the fact that it wasn't fried means that the Microns they use are pretty damn high binned, and it has a pretty good heatsink
But of course, that ram is almost 400 dollars, you could get the cas3 dominator for a bit more and those have been known to consistantly hit cas3 @ close to 500 mhz or higher. But once again, pretty expensive ram
I personally bought some super talent, expect a review on it soon (the graph ninja made is one I that i find out the oc voltages and mhz on that ram. It probably could have pushed it more, but its uses D9GKX instead D9MGH, so its doesn't handle voltage very well, otherwise I would hav pushed it to at least 1200 mhz-which I got very close to[1164 was my max])
