I want a Vaja case for my hx2110, but they don't list one as yet on their
site - anyone know how long after a new PDA is released that Vaja will have
a case for it?

Yeah, about 5 mins before my post - will wait and see what they say.
I particularly want a case without a belt clip. So far, Vaja and
Casesonline.com seem to be the best in terms of looks and quality...
Sena look to come in third...
I'm using a covertec model at the moment. But don't like the fact that when
you remove the belt clip, you are left with an ugly screw fixture.

Try Piel Frama. Superb quality, hand made in good leather. Haven't checked
for your model but they are pretty much on top of iPaqs - and completely
removeable clip mechanisms.

Ah, but what I don't want is a 'removable' belt clip, I want one that was
never there in the first place.

That's odd. The hx2000 series ipaqs are new and I would expect are
selling well. I have one. Oh well.

Yeah, I found it a little odd too. They are quite happy to produce cases for
the other new models, the rz1700 and rx3000 and hx4000, plus obsolete
models, yet not for the hx2000 series. Especially as I assume their good
spec (compact flash as well as SD was the seller for me) should make them
quite popular.
What are you using for yours Mark? As I said, I'm currently using a Covertec
model, but it's not ideal.
These are my requirements for a new case: Absolutely no belt clip (neither
fixed or removeable) - black leather throughout - not like Piel Frama who
use the natural colour for linings - no white stitching - and it has to look
good, not like some far eastern knock off.
www.casesonline.com make a nice looking 'Slim' model - see their website.
Their 'Flip' also has positive points, but oddly the design of the case
covers a great deal of the buttons at the bottom (not that I use them).

Just sent this, let's see what reason they have...

Hi Nora,
Can you tell me why you have no such plans - it is odd to me that you are
producing cases for the other new models, the rz1700, the rx3000 and the
hx4000, yet you have no plans for the hx2000 series....

Cool. Their cases are pretty sharp looking, and you've peaked my

Here's what I sent:
"Hello.
There has been a recent discussion in a microsoft pocket pc forum on
the status of your organizaton developing cases for the HP hx2000
series IPAQs.
I just wanted to let you know as a business where our employees have
this model of pocket pc, there is some interest in your leather cases
for them.

Let's wait and see. I think it's a little narrow sighted of them - there
must surely be more demand for this PDA than for the rz1700....? But then I
suppose the design of the rz1700 is so similar to the higher end rx3000
series.

You might want to take a look at Bellagio: http://www.bellagiodesigns.com/ You can order them without the belt clip (Available either "with" or
"without" removable Spring Loaded Swivel clip) - I have this one:
http://www.bellagiodesigns.com/showcategory3.php/43 for my Toshiba e805 and
I am very happy with it. I don't see the hx2000 on their list, but it
wouldn't hurt to ask.

Yeah, they've got them, but use the hx2415 and hx2755 model nos. I'm not
stunned though.
