I just brought home a new hp with windows pre installed. during setup I was
asked how I connected to the internet. I chose dsl since I was using it
with my old me system. the next screen asked me for my login name and
password for verizon. after finishing setup of windows I found my self
online. I'd like to know since I didn't install the verizon online kit,
where my login info is stored in windows xp

Also, I'm givng my old pc, "window ME" to a friend and would like to know
how to remove my login info from that machine

TIA

You don't give your old PC to a friend unless you reformat the hard drive,
thereby removing all your info, and then let him install ME himself using
the CD provided by you.
