I have 2 win2k computers in the same room and all I'm wanting to do is share files from my old one to my new one with cat5 crossover. How do I set that up? I've tried and failed miserably. Thanks, Deb

Using a crossover cable require you to do a static setup for the nic cards. Enter Ip and Sub net only. Make sure both computer are in the same group.

Start file & printer sharing if not allready stated.

My network places, should show the other computer, if not try view work group.
