Find out the min requirements (DX, PS, VS support), and then look at this list;

Performance is another story though, and you'd have to ask people who care about the sims.

On a laptop, I would avoid the IGPs such as the 200 and look for a dedicated mobile GPU. Since my wife plays Sims 2 (I don't know why) I purchased an HP laptop spec'd with a Go7600 256MB that can handle most games reasonably well enough (having a decent Core 2 Duo helps :) ) If you are partial to ATi, there is the mobile x1600 (and the older mobility x700) should provide enough support to run Sims 2 with most eye candy properly. It helps to have 1 gig RAM too.

Pc world have a core duo with a gforce go 6150 for £499 so i may go with that as i supose the dual core will take some of the workload off of the card and by the way its for the wife so that makes us fellow sims widowers i recon.

Even though the GF 6150 is probably better than ATI's 200m, it's still an integrated graphics solution and really won't be that great for any real gaming. Though it might work ok for a game like Sims2.

An IGP leeches off your system RAM (not good, imo). IGPs are pretty much good for doing the basic functions of microsoft office apps and the basic windows games say from shockwave/popcap, etc., but their 3D abilites are lacking. Avoid the Go6100 series if you think about any robust PC game you would play on your desktop.
