hows this score for a change?

My score on 3dmark06 was 5681.

My system (its just a basic system, nothing sick) consists of :

e6300 at 2.2ghz
1Gb RAM
X1950XT
120Gb hard drive
UltraWizard 500 PSU


is this score good or bad? how does it compare to the others on this board?

and how come it lists my graphics card as " Generic VGA, 499 MHz / 594 MHz"

About right for 06, and that card.

What lists it?

Make sure you have the later ATI Tool or ATI Tray Tools, then you will see the right info.

Also, 499MHz/594Mhz is right, as those are the clock speeds the card runs at in 2D mode. When in a game, or 3D application, the clock speeds automatically go to the rated speeds.

3dmarks scores don't mean much. It's in-game performance that really matters. If you're happy with that, good for you. Sorry if that seems a bit harsh.

I agree, but it does provide a quick and easy way to compare between peoples comps.
