I think it is a couple of months since I've noticed that the comments in News Articles don't have any rating any more, it's always 0. How come?
I rather liked seeing the thumbs up to interesting or funny comments and -20 on stupid comments. :(

So is there something I've missed? I did a search and looked through site feedback manually but noobody seems to have asked about this. What's happening?
Thanks.

Comments are being recorded in the forum thread that contains the comments, but they are not being pulled from the database correctly for display on the article page.

ok. So when will they start showing up correctly? Do you have any information?

Either when it gets fixed by one of the web staff, or when they roll out the new version in a couple months, likely the latter. Lots of stuff is breaking so its not really worth expending duct tape to try to keep the titanic water tight when you know she is going to the bottom of the ocean soon anyway.

Don't expect anything non-critical to be fixed. All development is on a new software platform at the moment.

thanks for clearing that out:)

Randomizer is pretty much on the nose there. A lot of the non-essential stuff has been shunted off to prep for the new platform.

It was me. I broke the comments. Delete my comment votes and it'll be all be ok :D

No, serious. It was me.

March 24, 2011 1:08:42 AM

It's in progress. Other localisations have had it rolled out already.

i actually dislike having anything to do with Germany. But that probably has to do with the fact that I have a very weird family lol.

The type Jack Kennedy pronounced himself to be - a walnut cake. American Presidents don't much luck with foreign languages do they? Dear old Ronnie Reagan struggled over three words of Russian and screwed them up completely. Mind you he could do that quite well in English. :D
