Hello everyone,
I'd like to buy a new HDD because I'm starting to run out of disk space on my current hard drive :( . I selected the following HDDs, please help me choose between them. I have around 100 $ for it.
1) MAXTOR 250 GB, 7200rpm, 16 MB buffer (IDE)
2) MAXTOR 200GB, 7200rpm, 8MB buffer S-ATA
3) SAMSUNG 250GB, 7200rpm, 8MB buffer
4) SAMSUNG 250GB, 7200rpm, 8MB buffer, S-ATA2
5) WESTERN DIGITAL 250GB, 7200rpm, 8MB buffer
6)WESTERN DIGITAL 250GB , 7200rpm , S-ATA 2, 8MB buffer

These are my alternatives. There isn't much price difference only 2-3 $. I gladly accept any suggestions.

Personally I would go with 6 if your motherboard supports SATA2, plus western digital is usually pretty good if the drive craps out within the first year with their warrantys

I would still buy #6 And just use the Jumpers to bring it down to SATA 150
Then in the future if you get a new board you won't have to go out and buy another hard drive to use the new SATA 300MB features you have on your new board!
