Hi folks

I've just built my new rig, but I can't help thinking that all the cables from the PSU, especially the one's that aren't in use, can't be helping the airflow inside the case very much! My PSU isn't a modular one, it just has loads of cables coming out of it and at the moment they look quite a jumble. How do you guys go about placing or tying back your PSU cables to allow for good airflow. My case is an Antec 900 Ultimate Gamer case with quite a few fans, so obviously airflow is quite important.

thanks

Graham

I 2nd the zip ties, although they are not reusable you can cut them off if you make a mistake. I have seen pplz just tuck the unused cables into empty HD bays.

Velcro strips work wonders in my machine, so you might want to consider that. I'm pretty sure the things don't do any harm, as I have them near tons of sensitive equipment...

With Upper PSU configuration I tuck them On top/under opticals.

With lower PSU you usually have a little room next to the power supply, and there is no window on the motherboard tray side so you can probably tuck quite a few of the there!

I have a lower cage PSU and I tuck all my unused cables under my powersupply, there's a nice 1 inch space there where I can coil everything around in there. My IDE cable hides mostly in a drive bay between the motherboard and the dvd drive, same with the sata cables. You just have to be creative with everything, hide stuff under the motherboard, say the cable going to a fan or something, or hide it behind drives and whatnot.
