any manfacture its just that i order a (Asus seemed like the best manf to go for) X1950 256mb and just wondering how people are liking the card or disliking it, and if possible any 3DMark scores

also would it be possible in a BIOS update to make it a DX10 card, sorry if this seems stupid i am a n00b

can you hold your breath for a half century? no? yep, its utterly impossible then. and a BIO's update wouldnt do anything what-so-ever to the gfx card.

the 1950xt is a good card, its in the midrange of highend cards. what kind of graphics card do you have right now?

The X1959XT is a really nice card. but the asus card is 90 more then the sapphire. if you want to spend $340 on a asus X1959XT you might want to think about getting a X1959XTX for $400.

x1959xt eh?. Move your keyboard a tad bit to the left.

and yes x1950xt is a great card, it just a matter of personal prefence with w/e company you choose. I chose the H.I.S. iceq 3 turbo version because I like all of it's many features....but the Diamond and Saphire are much cheaper even though they don't offer as many benefits.

Performance wise they are all about neck and neck...

A "BIOS Update" wouldn't change the architecture, so it won't be a "DX10" card.

However, you will be able to install DX10 on Vista with that card, but will not be fully used, because the card isn't able to.

I purchased the Sapphire branded X1950XT because it was cheaper and both Asus and Sapphire clock their cards the same.http://www.gpureview.com/Radeon-X1950-XT-card-467.html

So why pay more for the Asus name?

i like the features of the asus and it cost £205 from scan.com

it has

reply which i am guessing is like a full fraps, and some other things also got a asus P5B mobo and cant fault it, though asus and asus would be nice combo

or maybe its me being a bit n00bish
