Hey,

Im new to OC and about to purchase E6600 with Asus Striker.

What is the best Ghz to overclock it with stock cooler?

What about a better cooler and water cooling?

Im also wondering what is the best memory speed to get the most of the OC? 800 or faster?

Thanks for your answers!

1.) Best Ghz is the highest you can get with the system still being stable.
2.) Yes better cooling, especially water cooling, will allow you to OC higher.
3.) DDR2-800 is very good for OCing. Pretty much the only thing that could beat it is DDR2-1000 or 1066 in some cases.

Thanks for your answer.

Is it best to buy 800 CL4 or 1066 CL5?

What about FSB and memory running at the same speed? Or does that matter?

Thanks

My corsair 2x512mb xms2 cas4 twinx epp (needed a bios flash to run it) ddrII 800 runs up to 1200Mhz with nothing special apart from 2.3V. 1 stick is slightly faster than the other - ~30Mhz. £105 for the pair.
