Just wonderin if it was possible to oc a AMD 4000 San Diego to a FX-55 San Diego and be just as good? Looks like to me they have the same architecture.

Oh and which is better "argument between me and friend"
AMD Athon 64 4000 or Pentium 4 650 Prescott 3.4 HT
and is hyper threading considered dual core?

And my main question is my friend is selling his 4000 and Asus Ultra board he said he would sell it to me for $50 "he ows me"

Would this be better than my P4 650 Prescott and ECS board

1) Your 4000+ should easily overclock to 2.6GHz
2) The Athlon 64 4000+ is usually faster than the Pentium 4 650
3) HyperThreading is NOT the same as having a true dual core processor.

While the 4000+ should be a slightly more competent gaming processor, it's still not much of an upgrade from a Pentium 4 650.
