I have an HP Media Center PC m7160n that I just upgraded from XP to Windows 7. During the loading on Window 7, I told it to do a complete load (got rid of all my old files). Everything seems to be working fine excpet for the old Sony VAIO speakers (it says that it cannot finds any speakers even though they are plugged in, turned on, connceted to the right port of the PC etc.. Any help would be appreciated!

Thank-you - Mark

It doesn't show up as being plugged in (can't find it). I also tried and loaded the from the download site you suggested below to no avail (I ran it but do I have to do something else to turn on or point to the codec set)? I found a couple of posts on Microsoft's site of folks that had the same problem with HP's when they loaded windows 7. It seems to be a pretty common problem - the issue is that HP doesn't recognize the problem.
