can't surf but Azureus is able to download

I can't browse the internet ("cannot find server") though Azureus is able to download stuff.

I already checked "Automatically detect settings" in internet options, but it still wouldn't work.





connection: DSL connection provided by PLDTmyDSL.

Router: Linksys befsr41 (wired)

OS: Win XP Pro





It happened yesterday. In a few hours, I was able to surf again.

I guess the last time it happened was a month ago. Prior to that I can't recall an instance that it happened.

Sounds like their DNS server was down.

are you trying to surf while your downloading?
I will get no server response sometimes trying that. Torrents can eat up the bandwidth and cause explorer to time out.

It is probably torrent strain on the router or the internet connection itself.
