I have a Notebook with a cable internet-connection and a WiFi card. My
dell pocket pc has WiFi included. Cabled internet ist running on
192.168.0..., I have an Ad-Hoc-WiFi Connection from the notebook to the
ppc with 192.168.1. This connection is working as I can use remoteamp
to wirelessly control winamp from the ppc. Anyway, ActiveSync via WiFi
doesn't work (should work, right?) and, what is more, internet doesn't
work. I have no proxy installed but shared the cabled connection to the
WiFi connection using ICS.

ICS requires that you not be using 192.168.0.xxx on your PC as you are using
this for your cable connection it will not work. Seems your cable company
doesn't want their connection shared. If you can change the cable connection
to 192.168.xxx.zzz where xxx does not equal 0 it would work. Otherwise
you'll need to use a proxy server.

Thanks for your answer,
anyway, without changing anything, it suddenly worked and I can access
internet from my pocket pc, just using ics. Unfortunately, I cannot get
ActiveSync to run via Wifi :-(
