Need help with AMD CPU upgrade for Asus A7N8X REV 1.xx..

I have a AMD 1800 Thunderbird and would like to know what the max CPU I can use with the Asus A7N8X REV 1.xx.

From what i saw from ASUS's website it can support the Barton Core so i suspect it can handle all the way up to AMD3200+ XP but i wouldnt get that because its old and would cost so much that it would be better to get an AM2 system with a cheap AMD64 3200+

The other guy is right....try to find one used or maybe you will get lucky. That board can support and 333FSb barton core proc you can find...I suggest an unlocked XP 2500 Barton
