OK so here is the deal, i had an issue blah blah blah, fast forward to today, i need a new MB, CPU, MEM

I HAVE a pair of EVGA 8800 GTS 640's that from the best i can tell will mesh fine with pcie 2.0

I want to run them in SLI of course, and i am noticing that most of the modern MB's support ATI's crossfire, and im not sure what effect that will have on these cards.

also these cards are 2 slot cards.

since i need to upgrade i want to run a phenom x4 965 black (preferably 140w)

so naturaly i want an am3 board for mem purposes

but i am confused since much of the pcie technology has changed and gone more towards the crossfire

what do i need to look for in a modern MB to be able to run these in SLI

upgrading graphics card is not an option right now

any recomendations on boards for this config welcome

Thanx in advance
