Having some weird issues that I hope someone here can enlighten me on. Here's my current settings. Running E6700 on EVGA 680i.

Cpu - 1.4v
FSB - 1.4v
Mem - 2.1v
Northbridge - 1.5v

Cpu Multiplier - 9x
FSB - 1550mhz
RAM - 875mhz

So, the Bios computer 3.487ghz. Looks good. BUT..

When I boot, the post screen shows 3.88ghz. Windows My Computer shows 3.88ghz and nvidia monitor shows 3.88ghz; however, CPU-Z shows 3.487ghz.

Which is correct? And if it's CPU-Z/BIOS calculations, why is everything else reading 400mhz faster?

THANKS!

Your FSB is ~387.5MHz, *9 = 3487.5. This should be how fast you're actually running.

My guess is that "My Computer" and nVidia Monitor aren't understanding that the multiplier is 9, they think it's the 10 (which would be ~3875MHz). Maybe they're reading the maximum multiplier value instead of the actual multiplier.

I've read that lower multiiplier and higher FSB is the way to go. Is that correct? Should I try setting 10x and see if its stable?
