I just want to know from those who have a pentium d 950 and have overclocked, what kind of overclock they were able to produce and the cooling they used.

Thanks.

I have a P4 960 ie 3.6 stock OCed to 4.4

I have pushed it from FSB from 200 to 246.

Its a 12% OC and its stable under prime for 12h

The CPU temp is around 55-60 under load.

I use water to cool my CPU.

I use 1.45v

I wouldnt be suprised if your CPU does something similar....

I had both the D915 and D945 on a modified big typhoon (fm121) got to ~4.1, on corsair water 4.3~4.4 stable on 975X Mobo. I got another D915 that i am going to OC soon as my better ram gets here. The 9 series are great overclockers who alot of people say time has past.

Thanks for your input!!! I have a D950 and am just looking for what I can reasonably expect. I plan to use a GIGABYTE GA-G1975X mobo. The same one Tom used to push his d805 to 4.1. I plan also to cool it with a Titan Amanda TEC Cooler. Get some good ram and I am off... This is practice for a C2D build with a 6700.
