Sounds like a bored kiddie being a troll, I get them all the time.

I usually end the conversation by saying something that I just know they
will want to reply to but block them before they get the chance.

Sometimes they eventually make sense... I've worked with kids for years,
so usually I can start to figure out what they're saying!

Does it tell them that you blocked them? That would be fun, make them
type something out only to be told "This user abhors you, stop bothering
them."

I rarely use the trading post, but I put a lost desert PB up for trade last
night. Did a quick scan of some prices and picked something in a similar
range. Of course, I expected offers less than what I asked.. but..

within one minute of placing it up for trade:

Yellow Aisha Plushie
65,000 Neopoints

Hmm.. well.. not what I'm asking really. I go to the userlookup and they
have spiel about scammers, noobs, beggars. Resisted the urge to send a
neomail.

Logged on tonight and I had one offer along with a neomail:

um Hey, my username is Kenhansai, I was lookind for a desert paint brush and
I saw it under your name at the trading post I am giving you a strong
shield, two codestones dubloons and 500 neopoints, I hope you say yes, thank
you.

well actually, no, you're not giving me a strong shield two codestones

I like that optimism though!
