1GB or 2GB for this system?

I'm getting:

Core 2 Duo E6300
Gigabyte DS3
XFX 7900GS 256MB (DDR3)

Now, I'm going to be overclocking this machine. I was originally going to get the Geil 1GB(2x512) DDR2 PC2-6400 "ultra low frequency" stuff but I've been told I should get 2GB. Problem is, the 2GB stuff is £80 more. Is it really worth it? Would it increase my perfomance much more? I'm quite reluctant to get it cause of the amount of money the machine is already gonna cost.

2GB absolutely recommended for a gaming machine. I would only recommend 1GB if the budget was really low. If you need to fit that extra £80 somewhere, tell us the rest of your parts and maybe we can suggest cheaper options.

Just in case I third it...

2gb = standard for performing rigs. Vista should be smooth with 2 gig
