Hello Networking Gurus,
My house has 8 wired locations. I decided we needed a hardware firewall router to replace internet conection sharing and our hub. Any recommendations? more than 8 ports would be a bonus.

Thanks, Mike

We use a Linksys BEFSR81 8 port EtherFast Router with built in hardware firewall, and it works great.

You can pick one up (or something similar) just about anywhere for $100 CDN or less.

I use a Netgear RO318. It is very fast and has many features I like. It has never had to be restarted, in the nearly 2 years I've owned it, and it's been on the whole time barring power outages.
