im trying to o/c my core duo 6600 at 3.2, i have set 1.4125v in bios (1.35v windows) for cpu and i was crashing under dual orthos small ffts test, so before upping more the voltage, i upped northbridge voltage from lowest value to 1.55v and im concerned now about northbridge temp, i dont want fry the chipset, so how can i know the temp of this bridge please , is it the system temp in speedfan, or motherboard temp in everest ? or do i need some tool to take temp inside the case ?
what monitor tool can i use to see northbridge temp ?
is it system temp under speedfan ? motherboard temp under everest ? i have no idea what thoses temps mean
i just touched the northbridge temp right after i turned off my computer, and i could keep my finger on it forever...it was warm a bit i think around 30-40 degre but hard to say really..maybe i worry for nothing, anyway i put it back at 1.25 and upped my vcore instead..will see if i can run stable at 3.2 or not.
