Should I even bother with a new power supply, I'm getting the things mentioned above, but I also run an X1900GT, two 80GB SATA's, two DVD drives, a floppy, and I fill most of my USB ports. I have a 305 watt PSU now, even though the X1900GT calls for 400 or greater, and it runs okay. Should I even bother with a new PSU, there are some hangs since installing the Vid Card, though I'm not sure if this is due to power or CPU. Any advice?

anyone?

Just played Rainbow Six Vegas for awhile without a problem. the only real troubles I have are when I quit BF2. It just takes awhile to gain "control" of my desktop without dely. while I have your attention, I now plan to buy a new PSU, so since I'm getting a micro ATX mobo, will i need a micro ATX PSU? My case is a Dell Dimension 4700 case.

sorry to double post, but will a PSU with dual +12v rails at 14a and 15a be okay, or do they both have to exceed 24a?

I thank you very much for your help. I have only one more question. Do Core 2 Duo's require special power supplies, or will a normal ATX work?

If they do can you recommend any above 400 with more then 24a on the rails?

Hey Timbrammer

I have a dimension 4700 too And I just bought a Antec smartpower 400w. It fits well, but I am stuck with the 2 wire/3 fan speed monitor connector. I cannot see anyplace where to connect it. My Hard drive is very hot 50C. do you have the same problem?
