a few cpus to work with

I have 4 Xeon 1.5Ghz processors and 10 1.4 Ghz Pentium 4s. I want to pull as much power and proformance from these as possible. Since I am new to this I was wondering would these processors run better in a cluster(14 nodes) or a constellation(7 nodes/dual processors)? Any suggestions are welcome (throwing them away is not however).

I am not very precise in figures here but all the CPUs you mention put together would be on a par with an Kentsfield quad core, only that the Kentsfield system consumes ~400W and your cluster at least 4000W.
Sadly, there's not much to use them for, and they should also be of the notorious socket 423
