Thanks in advance

Oh and all settings are aa/af off 1024X768 and Ive set my setting to get performance not quality.

that score is ok. what CPU are you using? remember that your CPU score is heavily weighed in the scoring process w/ 3dmark05. if you have a weak cpu, your score will be weak regardless of the card you're using.

3dmark06 is a little fairer.

I think you have that backwards, sir.

3dMark05 is hardly affected by the CPU, it's almost purely videocard. At best a platform might make 1000 points difference in 10,000.

It's 3dMark06 that really heavily weighs the final score toward the whole system, not the videocard... I've seen scores with the same videocard and different platforms range in the thousands, and that's with both being under 5000 points - huge difference.

As posted its a Pentium 920 running at 3.75Ghz. It just seems low to me. Ive run test on a buddies box with his 7900GT OC and a Core2 E6600 and his was about 9800.. Im wondering if the Core duo or the fact the my MB is only945chipset.. Guess Ill see when I bother to upgrade my board and can actully run memory past 400mhz.

it`s your cpu for sure. and perhaps your memory bandwidth....

about the 3dmark06 scores: if it`s so flatform sensitive than how do you explain my 4200 pts on a 3400+ (s754 single channel) vs 4400pts on my new c2d @ 3ghz with my previous 7800gt?

with my new ati card i get a MUCH bigger difference than when going to c2d. fact is people keep saying dual cores score much higher in 3dmark06.

I duno, I wish I could just add 1/2 core to my system and upgrade the video card. Then again, I look for functionality, not scores.

"Does this system do what i want?"

Heh, my 3200x1.5 will kick ur butt.

Well, of course a videocard will have a BIGGER impact. All I'm saying is that a CPU will have a much bigger impact on the final score in 06 than it had in 05.

In 05, I upgraded an AthlonXP 2500+ to an Athlon64 3500+. That's a huge difference, yet my 3dMark score only went up about 500 points to 8000 instead of 7500 with an X1800 XL.

In 3dMark06 though, the AthlonXP managed about 3200 in 06, but the Athlon64 got over 4000 with the same card... percentagewise, that's a huge difference.

It gets you on the internet to spam our forums you Troll.

You make about 20-30 poorly written posts a day here, at all hours, which only shows you're a non working little leech, who lives at home with his parents. The intelligence of your posts fall into the category of submitting one liners like "ya rly" and saying "ur"...

Go find another forum to post at.

Its does and dosent do what I want. And no to Pcmark. Im betting if I swap the board to something that can handel the memory over clock better I would be in better shape. The memroy is 667DDR2 but only runing at 400. The memory was a swap for a friend that needed cash to upgrade his But it tests fine in Memtest Im not worried. Oh and its a 920 not a 940.

As for me The scrore matters for when I play games I crank up all the settings, AF/AA and resolution ETC.. Yes sometime ill go SLI but I have other things I need to do first.. (like pay the rent.. THE man always keeping my upgrades down)
