ActiveSync 3.7 and 3.8 won't let me install anything to my SD cards.
I've used many different ones including brand new cards. I've
reformatted my old ones using multiple programs.
Has anyone seen this before, know what's causing it or have any idea
how to fix it?

I would be willing to bet not that many people have an M5 at the moment
since they are pretty new and still a little unknown. I have one so I would
be happy to look into this issue for you later this week. Send me an email
outside of this newsgroup and I'll check on it for it.

I have been using the M5 for about three weeks, and it is working find
with active sync 3.7. Garmin, was very specific on the order of
installing the M5 software, and that may be the cause of the problem.
Try querying on google in the groups for garmin m5, you will find a
group called sci.geo.satellite-nav that has very knowledgeable people
using gps systems.
