I want to put a stream video stand alone IP cam like the one's they use
on the live nude sites. So people can watch us a t work on our website.
Now I see a lot of the on eBay for around a hundern dollars and wonder
if they are any good? Do the need anything else to go with them? Or are
they complete with everything? The local computer guy say he has set up
some dorm cams and that he can get me one for about four hunderd
dollars. I don't know if I need all of that. Does anybody knwo the
answer to these and other questions?

Seeing my partner in the nude would not be a pretty site. Airbrush is
what we will be doing. We do have high speed. Road Runner. It will be
indoors and lighting is good. We will be doing this from
airbrushcam.com. I am looking at a IP Kamera 9000A and I am wondering
if it is stand alone. Will I need any additional software?

you're going to work in the nude to increase page hits ?

which ip cam depends on many things
.... light levels and what kind of work you do be a good start.

Indoor ip cam it may be hard to beat $150 .5fc dlink
but if you have plenty of light, $80 will get a dlink 2.5fc
but if you want a better quality pic and can live with 1fc you can have ccd
ip cam for about $200

you know some of these cams can use a bit of bytes, do you have uber hi
speed upload capabilities ?

Maybe somebody that has one with tell you all about it.
I haven't messed with Aviosys cams hard little buggers to get full spec
info on.

some ru site says its 1/4 progressive scan cmos said true 640x480 max
so typical low end 0.3 m/pixel cam, m-jpeg which will be over 2mb/s if full
sized/speedy m-jpeg video, but you should compress and shrink the pic to
500kb/s - 1mb/s vid. Fine on local lan but a good hit for internet when you
get more than one visitor at the same time. - but then - I don't see where
it says anything about multiple connections - may be, maybe not. Computer
Geeks been selling them for a while, email him for the lens specs maybe.
If it has a real wide lens strictly for up close will you be happy? Ask
somebody first.

You should only need a windows machine to program it - other than that, it's
a stand alone server. Try it, let us know what you think .

ip you give below is local lan, your router settings passes it to real wan
ip & port#

you can probably right click the web page and view html source that your
browser sees and from there figure out how to path it to embed it into a
remote web server-page

So... Mikell what have you determined about this Kamera 9000. Any comments
of tips about it you care to share? Worth the minimal $$ vs. performance?
