I have an Ipaq 2215 (which is clean no user-installed software, as I
suffered an unexpected and unwanted hard reset).

To avoid losing all my data in the future, I've started using the iPAQ
backup software to backup all the memory contents to my 512Meg SD Card. I
have about 40 megs of regular files on the card, and the iPaq itself doesn't
have a lot on it, so I shouldn't have any problems at all (I think). Main
memory has about a dozen contacts, 4 tasks, and is synched to my work
calendar which has appointments throughout 2005.

I've scheduled the 2215 to backup every Sunday night at midnight.

Every Monday morning when I turn it on, I get errors, the most common being
that it can't complete the operation(s), and the thing I've noticed the most
(although not always) is an out of memory error for the SD card. In
addition, every time I go into the backup software settings, I always tell
it to back up everything _except_ the SD card (that information is already
on the SD card, so why back it up again), but when I go back in to the
settings (usually less than once a week, so the error has occurred in the
meantime) the checkbox next to the SD card is re-checked.

Questions:
1) How can I make the setting to back up everything except the SD card
"permanent"?
2) When creating a weekly backup, does it overwrite the last backup, or am I
creating huge files every week?
3) I tried to find the backup file(s) via the PPC file exporer (looking on
the SD card) but can't find any. What gives? How do I find and delete any
old unnecessary files directly from my iPAQ?

Many thanks,
Keith
