Iiyama Vision Master Pro 512

Dear THGC Members,

i would like to buy an iiyama 22p Vision Master Pro 512 HA202DT.
it has a Diamondtron but not a Trinitron CRT.

i dont like much trinitron CRT due to their horizontal black line(s) default at the center of the screen.

is it a good choice ?

thanks for any comments.

Best Regards.

buy THGC stock options, this could be a good investment. :)

huh?!?
we dont see them on Diamondtron but on Trinitron CRT.

Sorry I don't know what you're trying to say.
My point is I notice lines on Diamondtron just as much as Trinitron that I've seen in the stores but maybe some models are more visible than others. I'm just trying to stop someone from buying a monitor thinking they won't see lines when they probably will.

but with the same picture on each monitor to compare them fairly?

Like I already said, one may be more noticeable than the other, but the fact is they're still there and they are noticeable. The original post made it sound like he was going with Diamontron because it didn't have the lines at all. Well they do. Just a warning.

I think it is a good choice judging for pcpro.co.uk reviews. The price in the UK seems very good for this model (not sure if it's the ha202dt). If you read the review there, you'll notice it had some ghosting issues.

A similar model, the 511 did well on pcworld.com (very good image quality). While the mitsu dp2060u got excellent for text and graphics on this same site.

displaymate awarded the dp2060u as best AG CRT next to the GDM f520. the price is about the same as the 512 ha202dt in usa.

the 512 and other diamondtrons have the lines.

good luck.

Quality is better than name brand, even regarding beloved AMD.
