please help

i put together a system using an abit ab9 mobo, pentiumD 805, corsair ddr2 memory , WD 160GB HHD, and a liteon DVDr i am having a problem getting thru post i get no beeps however after about 30 seconds the computer powers down, i suspect that it may be the PSU which came with the cheapo apevia case i bought has this happened to anyone before ? any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

I suggest trying the case with another PSU. what are the stats of the PSU?

That Abit board might want a -5v rail; strange but true. Check the manual, or confirm with Abit TS (both confirmed on mine).

thanks for the tip i will try another psu tonite the case came with a turbolink lc-a420 atx and after researching a little i've found similar posts on other forums concerning this psu

also double check all your front panel connects.

Yeah, often times people forget something. It's a good policy to double and triple check EVERYTHING before you ever attempt to boot into bios.

Also, I wish people knew how to use search engines better. So many people don't know how to find information online. =\
