It finally happened.
I finally got a Windows Vista error.
I've been using Vista since January 2007.
I pressed on my e-mail quick link in the taskbar this morning and the program failed to run.
I had to restart my computer.
As far as I'm concerned Vista is a total failure. It should be pulled off the market. Everyone who bought Vista should be given a refund. How dare Microsoft release an operating system that isn't 100% reliable. I expect perfection from all the software I have.
So why do people complain that Vista sucks? I would like to know where all the errors and flaws people complain about arise.

But why does it suck?
I honestly haven't had any problems with Vista.
My opinion it's a beefer version of XP Media Center Edition.
But for all the problems I read about Vista...I haven't come across. It works out of the box for me. But I guess that is because I install it on new hardware.

damn, here i was thinking you had moved out of where you were staying.
still, the reason people do not like it is they are all secretly wannabee console owners. they want everything to work without problem and if there is it is the software's fault not theirs. one thing i have found here on toms is that everything is someone elses fault. if you look at any software or hardware fault it is always the developers even when 10 other people report no problems.
I love the rants you get on here with people thinking everyone will agree that such and such drivers are crap or games are buggy and then no one else has problems.
people are in general immature idiots who cannot except something might be there fault.

Ok. . . users suck. . .

Hmm... So two blue screens within 2 hours setting up the new Vista box for work would count as outside the normal experience? I think I've managed to lock my Ubuntu box twice in the last 4 years.

Fixed.

Meh, it works for what I do, and I don't really have (m)any issues here at home...

Sorry to hear about your problems. I've got a week to kill before having to answer lots of questions about my thesis in front of a panel of experts. So...
...I've just placed orders for some computer bits to (re)build a gaming PC, service my car, and yeah. Gonna kill this week.

Yes i am depressed. I see less and less real care about the world condition in general from people in day to day life. Everyone is too absorbed in there own life story.
Yes i am depressed. I see less and less real care about the world condition in general from people in day to day life. Everyone is too absorbed in there own life story.
Or too absorbed in trying to make some sort of life.
This isn't an active means, but a pure passive means. I doubt whether the greater population has any thought to spare to the current degrading nature of earth. And even though earth takes it's own course, I doubt if we as human inhabitants are in the grand scheme of things.
The irony for me is that our presence here was a measure of how well we can sustain ourselves in an environment that degrades over time due to ignorance and over use - and to add a few dimensions the world was made up of different cultures, backgrounds, beliefs etc. making it a lost case from the onset. The only catch here might be a unison between these variables when all has been lost or is at the verge of being lost. Either case, it's futile cos the global population is too ignorant to set aside personal bickering and stand under the same roof.

Thanks for expanding on my previous post.
I was too lazy to put a lot of effort into explaining my opinion.
We seem to have the same opinion of the human race and our existence on Earth.
