normal temperatures for core 2 duo???

hello,

I just built my first custom computer, i got an e6600, and I'm using a zalman 7700 to cool it. I am running all my fans including the zalman on 'silent mode'.
(btw i am not overclocking)

my question is, what are considered normal temperatures for my CPU to be at?

*what should the normal temp be when my comp is idle?

*what should the range of temperatures be when its under load?

*what is the maximum temp it should reach?

i like to keep my computer quiet, but I want to make sure it has proper cooling...any help is appreciated.

thank for the reply. i know there are no 'official temps', i just wanted to know ballpark figures of what temps are considered normal or safe.

my CPU is idling at 37 degrees Celsius btw. still havent tried it under load yet thou.
