Here are all the parts I have:
Intel Core2Duo e6600
Asus P5W DH deluxe
xfx geforce 7900gt 256mb pci express x16
pqi Turbo 2gb (2x1gb) ddr2 667 (pc2 5400)
western digital caviar 250gb 7200rpm sata HD
coolmax 500w PS
coolermaster centurion 5 mid tower

Here is my problem, what I have done, and why I want to go on a killing spree:

So, I've already had to RMA the cpu and the mobo, and just got the new ones. A little backstory, I had problems at first with the first shipment of parts, and took them all to a place called Intrex Computers, paid $50 for a "full system components diagnostics" and they came back with my ram, video card, hard drive, cd drive and power supply worked fine, but my cpu and mobo were dead (would not work with known to be working other components at all). So I RMAd them, and here we are.
From my previous happenings with this attempted build, I placed the motherboard on a wooden bench to start and installed the cpu and fan. I attached the power supply and shorted the pins to make it start, and the PS fan and cpu fan started and all was well. Green light on the motherboard is of course on. Unfortunetly, I wasn't smart enough to connect any speakers before I threw it all in the case. So, fastforward a little, its now all in the case and connected, cd drive and hard drive, video card ram, everything I have. Flip the switch, green light comes on, press the power button, every fan comes to life. However, no sound, and no video feed to my monitor. I plug in my external speakers to be sure (im not sure if the case is supposed to have its own little speakers or what) and still no sound when I restart. So, I start taking it apart. First the cd and hard drives and all the case peripherals are unplugged, no good. Then I take out the video card, no good. I take out the memory 1 stick at a time, no good. I remove the motherboard from the case again, plug the speakers back in and still no beep when I turn it on. When the power comes on, the fans spin and I can hear a little computerish sound, I dont know how to describe it other than the sound a computer makes at startup, its a light almost grinding sound for a second... but no distinct beepings of any sort. So, any suggestions on what the problem is or what I could try? My jumpers are in the right settings, and I have made sure I have the 24 pin and the 4 pin power supply cords in place. I am right by plugging in external speakers to the light green (labeled 'front') audio output on my motherboard, right? Unfortunetly, I do not have another cpu or motherboard I could use, so maybe someone has a suggestion other than this? Thanks a lot in advance for any help. (Also, is there a way to find out what version BIOs my motherboard has without booting it up and without the sticker on the bios chip, like maybe with all the jibberish that is printed on the actual chip. For some very very odd reason, my new motherboard from zipzoomfly did not have the sticker on the chip. I would hope by now all the boards they are shipping out would be c2d compatible, but I wouldn't put it past zipzoomfly for sending me one thats been on the shelf for 6 months.)

Might be a silly question, but is your vid card plugged in to the PSU? It needs it's own power.

Pretty sure the post beep doesn't come from your external speakers. Mine doesn't anyway.

I had the same issue with my old pc when it died. Changed out the mob/cpu to no avail. Using my old HDD in my new rig for storage, tried a different vid card. Only things left were memory and psu. I'm really starting to lean toward it being the psu. But since I built a new rig, haven't had the itch to work on it anymore. Oh, and just because a psu is working, doesn't always mean it's sending enough power. I would assume the shop that looked at it would know this, but ya never know.

Asus has an error indicator on some of their boards that give error messages through the speakers. He wasn't talking about a post beep.

Now the computerish sound you hear, I am assuming you do not hear a hig pitched whine? If so that would indicate a short somewhere.

I know that ASUS has been having issues with DDR2 compatibility... Well, it's not so much ASUS's fault.

Anyhow, I am not sure if PQI is one of the qualified vendors for ddr2. I would suggest looking in the manual for the QVL and try one of those with the board. It's a possibility that the board is not supplying enough voltage to the memory.

I think you will not get mobo POST "beeps" by plugging speakers into any of the mobo audio outputs. In most instances the place to connect a speaker to here POST beeps is the cluster of pins where the "power on" and RESET buttons get connected.

One thing you can try is to pull the mobo out of the case, plug in the ram, vid card, processor and PSU. Briefly short the POWER On pins and see if you get any response from the monitor which I forgot to tell you to connect to the vid card. If you get text or a bios screen showing up then there was a problem with the install of the mobo to the case.

Yeah, the power for my vid card is on. I have the pins for the case plugged in to the board (the cluster of pins per Blunc) so I guess thats where the beeps come from. I have removed the board as I stated in my first post and plugged only the cpu and the power supply, and the speakers from the case for the beeps in. Am I not supposed to hear some beeps for it asking for memory or something?

Also, my memory is compatible with the motherboard, I know that for a fact. So that can be ruled out :) Basically I am confused because I thought that, even without memory and a video card, etc, with just the cpu and the mobo I would get some beeps, some error code asking where the memory and crap is, and I am not getting any beeps of any sort.

in my limited experience with dead processors I think there only a few things that will cause no beeps at power on (if you are sure your speaker is connected properly) and you mobo power trace is not shorted to ground.

The short list is: bad processor, bad power supply and/or bad mobo.

If you have the option, try swapping these components one at a time with known good components. The down side of this is that any one of the listed components (if it is frelled) may cause a good component to fail.
