So I'm trying my first hardcore OC on an E6400. This is what I got:

Core 2 Duo E6400 Conroe 2.13GHz
GIGABYTE GA-965P-DQ6
Radeon X1950PRO
2GB CORSAIR XMS2 DDR2 800 (TWIN2X2048-6400)
ZALMAN CNPS7700-CU

I know how to OC (It's not hard), but what I'm worried about is damaging the CPU / RAM. I figured the RAM can go to 800MHz, so the RAM is good for up to 3.2GHz CPU without much effort.I doubt I'd break that (If I even come close) on air anyhow.

From what I know, increasing the clock doesn't pose a hell of a lot of risk to the CPU, but increasing the voltage does.

What is my risk of burning something out? Did I get anything I just stated wrong?

at 3.2Ghz you will likely only need to set your volts to 1.350-1.375 which is the default for the e6800 (so no danger at all)

Whimcle is right. Don't feel too constrained to crank it up. At 3.7Ghz my vCore is 1.5125 in BIOS, and 1.480 ~ 1.504 (24mV fluctuation) in SpeedFan 4.31.
