X1900GT or 7900GS?

Which is the better card? The 7900gs can overclock while this X1900gt appears to be a newer, lower end version of the X1900gt that cannot OC to well based on the reviews.

Both outstanding cards for under $150, and they would trade blows depending on the games you play. IQ advantage to ATI IMO. My money would be on the X1900GT. $135 + shipping an no rebates is unbelieveable. But again, either is a great buy for the money.

The x1950Pro is clearly superior to the 7900gs, and based on a smaller manufacturing process (read : less hot).
The x1900GT is old, hot, and not necessarily better than the 7900GS.
Also can't OC for shit.

The new GT's have had their cores changed and clock slower. Go for a 1950Pro or 7950GT.

Agree. Both are great deals, but the price for the X1900GT is awesome.

Neither, get the Pro. Plus when that runs out of FPS you can upgrade to crossfire easier and with better performance.

I'm surprised people push the X1950 pro when this card is not much slower stock and cost's alot less. I'd never buy a $190+ X1950 pro when this card is $135! I wish I could justify buying one right now, but I can't. Just bought a X1950XT.

Oh boy did I ever want an 8800. Best price in stock was $435 AR for the eVGA. I'm just too cheap to spend over $400 on a card. Got this one for $285 shipped.

Yeah, I have had that for a month or so, just didn't install it. I couldn't pass on it as I needed a S939 CPU and the FX-55 was a retail box version and bundled with a 250GB SATA HDD for $199. I'm a sucker for bargains.

If I'm going to blow $400-600 on a DX10 card, it will be after I see R600 vs G80 (or a refresh) pitted against each other in DX10 games. Or first time I see a sub $300 8800GTS, I'll probably just jump at it. :roll:
