1 long beep - 2 short beeps

Hi,

I'm putting together a new pc, and I don't have my RAM yet.
I wanted to test if my other components work ok, so I've started my pc without the RAM and harddrives connected.

result:
1 long beep - 2 short beeps
1 long beep - 2 short beeps
1 long beep - 2 short beeps
...

The manual doesn't say anything about that.
It only talks about 2 long beeps - 4 short ones if there's a hardware component failure.

Is this normal?

My motherboard is a P5B-V

Extra info: the green led on motherboard works, and the vents on the cpu and videocard also rotate.
