Hi

Sorry if this is a basic question but here goes.

I can connect to my server with terminal services when connected via my pc
using pass through. However if I try via a GPRS dial up connection i get
timeout errors? Active sync over dial up to exchange server works fine.

Any advise please?

Many thanks.

Regards,

Daniel.

It sounds like the connection isn't making it to the pc yo uwant to control
when you're on gprs. Are you trying these connections over vpn? Do you
have a firewall in place and do you have the ports for TS open for incoming
connections from the internet on port 3389? If you'r not using vpn to get
to the machine across gprs I would strongly recommend it.

Hi Eric

I am using vpn & firewall with ports open to get back to our exchange server
and that works fine. Also term serv works when using pass through for the
connection. Has anyone else used over gprs connection please?

Thanks & regards,

Daniel.

I use it over GPRS, but not via a VPN. It works fine to Remote Desktop
into my Windows XP workstation.

It's kind of slow over GPRS, and even though the slow connection is
fighting against me, I have to type in my usernamd and password pretty
fast otherwise when I click on "OK" the login will have timed out.

Some phone ISPs do not support use of all ports
